Barbara Lynn - Texas soul and blues legend, a musical trailblazer of the 1960's who made her own rules, wrote many of her own songs, and played her own guitar (left-handed). She continues to explore creative new sounds, and will play Ladyfest accompanied by Olympia's own C.O.C.O and Warren Lee. Friday 29th, Capitol Theater, 8pm.

 

Wanda Jackson - She was only halfway through high school when, in 1954, Hank Thompson heard her on an Oklahoma City radio show and asked her to record with his band, the Brazos Valley Boys. The first lady of rockabilly graces our stage at Ladyfest Olympia. Sunday 31st, Capitol Theater, 1pm.

Nature - nature is a sludge pop band in Washington state Todd and Fil had been writing music together for several years when they met drummer Hozoji in 2004 and united to create the final line up for the band. Saturday 30th, Manuim, 3pm.

Mary Timony -Started out in Washington D.C.'s Autoclave, then as the frontwoman of Helium followed by two additional solo albums on Matador Records and a new one on Lookout. Saturday 30th, Capitol Theater, 8pm.
